Below is the official artist invitation letter for Six in the City:
Thank you for your interest in participating in the Neighborhood Art House's 2026 6"x 6" Canvas Collaboration, 'Six in the City'!
We are asking you to customize a 6"x 6" canvas with your own artwork, using any media. Canvases will be displayed together during our Taste of the Arts fundraiser on September 15th without identifying individual artists. Artist's identities will be a surprise revealed upon purchase.
Blank canvases can be picked up at the Art House, 201 E 10 St, Erie PA 16503. Canvases are offered to adult artist ages 18 and up, with a maximum of 2 canvases distributed to each participant.
There is no theme for the canvas designs, so subject matter is entirely up to individual artists. If you have any questions about subject matter or need more information, please email Sarah Everett at seeverett@neighborhoodarthouse.org. If you are unable to finish your canvas design, we do ask that the canvas be returned to the Art House so we can pass it on to another artist.
Finished canvases are due by Monday, August 24th if possible. Taste of the Arts takes place on Tuesday, September 15th so if you need some extra time, we will still be happy to accept your artwork after the 24th. Please list your name, media used and date on the back side of the canvas. If you have a title, please add that as well. All finished canvases will be priced at $50 with proceeds going to the Art House.
Please note that 6"x 6" canvases are considered a donation to the Art House. We are not able to offer complimentary tickets for Taste of the Arts to artists who contribute to the 6"x 6" show. This is our largest fundraiser which helps to offset programming costs throughout the year. We'd love to see you at the event and tickets are available online or at the door.

A note about pick up: You do not have to notify us in advance that you plan to pick up canvases.
If possible, the prefered hours for canvas pick up are outside of After School and Wednesday morning Homeschool Art class programming: 9 am- 2 pm on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Pick up is also available during Second Saturdays.
