The Art House is extremely fortunate to receive many generous items donated from our wishlist. These donations help make it possible to work with high-quality art supplies in classrooms and we are often able to pass items on to students and their families.
If you are interested in donating items from our wishlist, please read through our wishlists. We ask that you call first to set up a time to deliver items. Ask to speak to Sarah. Donations are greatly preferred during non-program hours which are 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m. at the latest. We have limited storage space and, in some cases, items not on our wishlists may be better used in another area non-profit. PLEASE CALL FIRST!
We average 60 students a day and we strive to provide them with healthy snacks such as pretzels, cheese crackers, breakfast bars, and popcorn (please no peanuts or other nuts).
Students attending the Art House receive a (un)Birthday Bag during the semester of their birthday. Summer Birthdays are celebrated in April. Birthday Bags are filled with age-appropriate gift items, art supplies, healthcare products (such as combs, toothpaste, toothbrushes, body wash or bar soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc.), school supplies and books. These items all come from donations! Please note that at this time we have quite an extensive supply of hygeine products on hand.
In addition to Birthday Bags, we try to provide students and families who request them with Holiday Packages in December. Items in Holiday Packages are similar to those included in Birthday Bags except they may include larger gift items and household items. Suggestions include board games, blankets, towels, clothing items and toys.
Please note: Because we have limited storage space, we have an adequate supply of the following items and we are not in need of used crayons, plastic canvas, rubber stamps, pencils, construction paper or pom-poms at this time. Donations should be clean and in good working order. New items are preferred.
