Art & Sole 2019 Recap

At the 2019 Art & Sole, Mike Williamson, 27, was first in line to claim his student artwork prize after taking first place overall at this year's Art & Sole with a finishing time of 17:30. He, like so many of those who won children's art prizes, find these treasures to be so much more meaningful than trophies or medals. Kelli Proctor, 41, was the first female runner to cross the finish line at 19:24. Amazing! The full results can be found www.runhigh.com.

This, the 12th Annual Art & Sole, had over 450 registered participants! Once the starting gun sounded, the runners and walkers took off down 10th Street toward State. As the leaders of the pack made the turn north onto State, the tail was just passing the Art House. It was quite a sight to behold. Thank you to our outstanding committee: Christina Katen, chair, Michael Agresti, Megan Henry, Matt Catrabone, Ashleigh Montagna, Trevor Nash, Jeff Shaw, Shannon Wiertel and NAH Development Director, Kelly Stolar, CFRE on a job well done! Thank you to all of our sponsors, to all those who participated, and to our many volunteers.

This year we had 18 teams participate made up of 189 participants. Nash Chiropractic weighed in with the largest team with 43 participants. Close behind them was Erie Insurance with 29; Size does not necessarily mean might, though. Wabtec's team of 5 took first prize for the teams; Second place went to Team Nash, and third place was earned by Erie Insurance. Five families formed teams as well.

Always fun to watch is the Fun Run for Kids. They raced with the same effort as their elders on their 1k course.

Whether you ran or walked, were on a team or ran individually, were age 2 (youngest participant in the Fun Run for Kids) or a healthy 84, we hope you all had a great time!
