Girls Rock is a movement of "rock and roll" band camps happening for young girls in various cities across the United States, with a mission to empower girls and women to use music for self-esteem and self-expression.
To bring this to Erie PA at the Neighborhood Art House, we are looking for volunteers to be instrument coaches, workshop teachers, or general volunteers for this program. Those with specific musical or performance skills are especially needed, but anyone with passion for music as a tool for expression is welcome!

When is it? Week 5 of Summer Programming: July 17-22
Monday through Friday: Band Camp
10a-12p: Instrument Coaching
12-1p: Lunch (provided onsite)
1-1:30: Garage Jam Band OR Workshop Time
1:30p-3:30p: Band Coaching
Saturday: Afternoon Showcase Performance
Clearances
Volunteers who work with the children as tutors, readers, program assistants, or classroom aides are required by the state of Pennsylvania to have current Child Abuse and Criminal History Clearances.
*Note: we will need to check your references before you can begin to volunteer. We will email you when they are checked.
