Spring has taken a short break for this weekend as snow returns! But this intrepid reporter will try to keep hope of Spring alive with tales of sunshine (and sunflowers), and the ever-springing joy of creativity that abounds in these hallowed halls. This week has featured warmer temperatures (at least until now), and thoughts of summer as the summer schedule begins to take shape (keep your eyes on this space for more news about that).
The community art program has included our Tuesday exercise class for adults taught by the inimitable Dana Borczon, and introduction to relief printmaking with community art coordinator, Sarah Everett. If, like me, you were too distracted by the sunshine and birds to sign up in time, have no fear! It will be offered in April! If you are able, take the advice of this intrepid reporter and sign up today for this class. I have found some great pictures of our planting workshop to include here, to bring the season into this cold day.
Our young students have definitely been thinking more about the approaching Spring. Flowers - both artistic and natural - are beginning to appear, and the dance routines are beginning to be perfected. This intrepid reporter has been known to trip over carpeting and run into walls, and so I am in amazed awe at the ability of even our youngest students to remember and preform these dances, and the older students get better and better each year!
