After taking a break to dust off my intrepid rabbit ears and dine on some chocolate, your intrepid reporter has returned to her regular beat. The pace around here has ticked up to a fever pitch, as the end of the term and our open house on May 11 suddenly seems to be right around the corner! The paint is flying, and the sewing machines humming, and the dancers leaping about.
The end of the term is not the end of happenings here in the house of art, oh no, no, no! Beginning in May, on Tuesdays from 10am - 12pm bring your on-going art projects and work on them in the company of like-minded creators in the Neighborhood Art House.
And how could I leave you without mentinoning the Art and Sole IN-PERSON event! After two long years without seeing all our friends running or walking the streets of Erie to support what we do, we are all beside ourselves with excitement! May 11 we will meet you all here, beginning at 9 am! There is also a kid's fun-run, so bring the whole family to enjoy the (I'll believe this will be the case - finger's crossed!) sunny and warm weather, and the friendly company!
Late breaking news! (or at least photographs) The Earth Day celebration was attended by citizens of the Art House and members of Gaia (a wonderful group of young activists under the direction of our very own Sr. Pat Lupo). There is also a great photo of a "radio announcement" made by some of our distinguished and socially aware young artists.
